General computer information:

The 88-89 SMECs are interchangeable 90 & 91 are interchangeable, even auto to 5 sp. RT cars 91 is all by it's self but 92/93 can change. I used 600 ohm, 1/2-watt resistors to replace the purge solenoid, and the EGR solenoid. No engine lights and a lot less power consumption that 50-ohm solenoids! An 88 T1 SMEC is calibrated for 27pph injectors, and a 2.2 An 89 T1 SBEC is calibrated for 33pph injectors, and a 2.5 27/33 = .82 2.2/2.5 = .88. So if you used 33pph injectors on an 88T1 SMEC and a 2.5L bottom end, pulse for pulse it'll want to be 7% richer at idle, so I'd guess it'll Fall into closed loop mode just fine.
88 2.2 T1 did not use CTS. 88 2.2 T2 did use CTS. CTS is mostly a safety in the later intercooled applications. If the boost gets too hot it reduces the boost goal.
